Increase SEO Rankings with Your Own Private Blog Network

09.12.2014 by Adam //

For many years, there are still a few people who are new to the world of Internet marketing. With PBNs or Private Blog Networks, it’s hard to ignore the rise of bloggers writing for a specific niche in increasing their SEO rankings and be ‘seen’. So how do you get started with this niche? What do you need to know and do to get successful results?

PBN is a collection of domains that you own or another person owns. PBNs like WordPress, Livejournal and Tumblr are some of the popular PBNs that many bloggers use to promote their niches and writing skills. More than likely, free blog domains don’t hold much ground than self-hosted ones.

Most PBNS are composed of expired domains that already had contents in it. Webmasters maintain these domains and probably also created a great website that drives traffic and have other websites linked in to these domains. When the webmaster doesn’t feel that the domain is making money as it should, they let it go on live only until it expires. When these domains expires, anyone can then buy these domains at an average fee of $10 to $15.

PBN is a great tool you can use because you can control the content and links within that domain. With this, you can alter the content and cater specifically to your niche. More importantly, you can create and change the anchor text, a link that goes to your main site.

Picking the right domain is essential for your PBN business to thrive. Authority and relevance are key features that are essential for search ranking online. You can take note of these essential elements and work on it to make your site visible and rank on top:

– Name and branding of your site
– Title tag
– Alter meta tags that shifts or focuses to your niche
– Create contents and videos related to your topics

Ever heard of ‘content is king’? This is essentially true for PBNs. Leads come from quality and credible contents that you place online. Ideally, contents should fit the natural flow of your niche topics and should look organic and unique. You should post articles consistently over a period of time instead of dumping all articles in one day. However, this can be easily fixed in WordPress if you know how to edit the published date.

Having 5 to 10 articles for each domain should be enough for Google to recognize it and add it to its search engine. To make your content more attractive, adding images and videos in it will increase the leads in your site. Taking royalty images off sites like morguefile.com and videos from youtube.com should help.

It is a golden rule: plan to succeed and never plan to fail. This kind of business won’t make you an overnight success. It takes lots of research, learning and planning to make things happen for you.

PBNS is not a one-size fit for all. But a PBN is a valuable tool to have if you want to get ahead of your game. Content can be tricky and the process may come a little bit slow for some. Consider your options, research and ask from mentors to guide you on how to go about. You will have better results if you consult mentors who are already in this business to teach you the loops and avoid the bumps in creating your own PBN empire.
